The flat entrance door that looked compliant — until we measured it
A flat entrance doorset in a converted block above the 11-metre threshold carried a CERTIFIRE FD30 label — and still failed 14 of its 23 inspection criteria. This is why a label is not a survey.

Frequently asked questions
What areas do you cover?+
MetroFire delivers fire safety services across all London boroughs, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Hertfordshire and the wider South East. See our /areas page for the full list with engineers regularly working in each postcode.
How quickly can you carry out a Fire Risk Assessment?+
Standard FRA bookings are confirmed within one working day, with the survey typically completed inside the same week. For PPM contract customers, emergency call-outs carry a 4-working-hour response.
Are your assessors qualified?+
Yes. Every MetroFire assessor is registered on the IFSM National Fire Risk Assessors Register (NFRAR) and competency-checked against BS 8674:2025. We are also SafeContractor approved and BAFE SP205 V6 aligned.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance contracts?+
Yes — our Fire Safety Maintenance Contracts (PPM) bundle fire alarm, extinguisher, emergency lighting, fire door and suppression servicing into a single SLA-backed schedule with 24/7 reactive call-out.
How much does a Fire Risk Assessment cost?+
Cost depends on building size, complexity, occupancy type and FRA depth (Type 1 through Type 4). Most assessments are quoted within one working day of a brief survey call.
